Metrics Configurations at Project Level
1. Verify the Existence of Custom Fields
After successfully installing the Kanban Flow Metrics App, you will notice the creation of two new custom fields in your Jira Cloud instance.
2. Add Custom Fields to Screens
Navigate to your project settings by going to Work items → Screens. Here, you can add the Lead Time and Cycle Time fields to the View Issue screen for the relevant work types.
3. Configure Kanban Flow Metrics at the Project Level
3.1 Add Flow Metrics Configurations
Go to your project settings and select Apps → Kanban Flow Metrics, then click the Add Configuration button.
Configure the flow metric calculation method for specific work types, then click the Save button:
After adding the lead time and cycle time configurations, the results will appear in the Flow Metrics Configuration List as shown below:
3.2 Add Project Resolutions Configuration
Use Case
We need to exclude resolved work items with the resolutions ‘Cannot reproduce', ‘Won’t Do', and ‘Duplicate' from the Flow Metrics report.
Additionally, you can configure the system to count only work items with selected resolutions as completed for all work types in this project. Leave the field empty to include all resolutions.
